Apple is preparing to introduce the highly acclaimed tetraprism lens feature, which was introduced on the iPhone 15 Pro Max last year, on the iPhone 16 Pro model . This lens will provide users with 5x optical zoom and 25x digital zoom. iPhone 15 Pro users were deprived of this feature because they preferred the smaller form factor and had to settle for just 3x optical zoom and 15x digital zoom.
iPhone 16 to come with tetraprism lens camera with 5x optical zoom
This feature seems to be possible if Apple makes the iPhone 16 Pro a bit bigger and reduces the size of some internal components. According to a report by Korean publication The Elec, these modules for the iPhone 16 Pro will initially be provided by LG Innotek, then Foxconn and Cowell will start producing this technology. Apple aims to reduce costs in this way.
The Pro models are expected to use Sony’s latest dual-layer system in the main camera. This system will improve the quality of shooting in low-light conditions by capturing more light and reducing image noise. In addition, this new sensor is expected to increase dynamic range and feature a special coating technology to reduce lens flares. The ultra-wide-angle lens will have a resolution of 48 MP.
Apple is expected to introduce the iPhone 16 series, as well as the new Apple Watch Series 10, Apple Watch Ultra 3 and third-generation Apple Watch SE models at its September event. In addition, two new AirPods models that will replace the second and third-generation AirPods models may also be announced at this event.
These developments look set to take the iPhone 16 Pro’s camera capabilities to the next level and will offer exciting innovations for photography enthusiasts. These innovations that the new iPhone models will bring continue to create great curiosity and excitement among users.
